Dear Tigray, it's time to arise!

Dear Tigray,

I’m sending this message today about a matter so dear to us, yet so misunderstood. This is regarding the fact that we have lost all of what we have lived for, worked for, saved for in Tigray. Our efforts have been stripped away from our possession for the cause of political gain. In war, the goal is to destroy the people and its infrastructure so they will be no more in existence. In January of 2023, I noticed that Tigray had been erased off of maps around the world where in December 2022, Tigray was discoverable in map searches. Why can't we find Tigray as a country on maps today? The sobering answer is that they don't want us to exist physically or on paper. Remove the country of Tigray off the map, let Tigrayans be called the citizens of whatever country they assimilate to.

You should understand that returning to Tigray to resettle is not an option because we are literally being blown off the map because of negative political influence. Just the other day, I received a message from a Tigrayan associate who sent a message begging for help to be rescued from Tigray because assassinations are still being implemented. In other words, returning to our home land is not an option and to believe that Tigray is still available for us to safely live is not a wise decision.

There are family members who still exist in Tigray, but the living conditions are a bit hideous and uninhabitable for us to sustain ourselves as a community because infrastructure has been destroyed. Because there’s a political agenda against our people, it should behoove us to be well aware of the power our enemy has against us. But to have power against our enemies in any attack against Tigrayans would call for the power of ያሁአ to assist us in destroying our enemies. But since we are comfortable in the diaspora achieving academia (degrees, Ph.D.'s, certificates), we will not win the fights of wars or the right to having our land given back to us. The younger generation of Tigrayans will assimilate to other countries and our heritage is lost.

It is impossible for Tegaru to have influence because we do not have the one thing that generates us to have power, and that's ethereal power in ያሁአ. Our power derives from ያሁአ who will give us victory against our enemies, but we don’t want his power. We desire the false sense of power in academia, which is not owned by the Tigrayan community. Academia is owned by our enemies in every country that we reside and after the achievement of a degree, we have individual gain and influence, but no power to assemble and restore the Tigrayan community. We are spread out around the world and many think this is good, but we are divided with no power. We have taken on other cultures that's not of our own foundation, and this is not the foundation of ያሁአ.

This letter to us, Tigrayans, should be a wake up call to understand that it’s time to take power for ourselves and not rely on other communities. When we take on the ways of other cultures in other countries, we lose being Tegaru, we lose being the foundational people of the earth, we lose being the Horn Africans who speak to the world about ያሁአ where every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess the power of ያሁአ.

Tigray, it’s time to awake from our passive ways of assembling to the world’s pleasures, goals and agendas. We have the power to be a voice to the world, and that’s what the Horn of Africa is. It means sounding the shofar to speak to the world about ያሁአ and to know that we are the people of ያሁአ who have the power to influence the world, not be influenced by the world.
